05 July 2010

A whooping six awards were scooped by MOM at the recent Singapore HR Awards on 2 July 2010. Organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), the awards recognise successes and accomplishments in the HR profession.

MOM celebrated our achievements alongside 41 other organisations. We’re honoured to be conferred the following awards:
  • Leading HR Leader – Ms Low Peck Kem, Divisional Director, National Human Resources Division
  • Leading HR Executive – Ms Daphne Wee, Senior Manager, National Human Resources Division

We also snapped up another four awards for:
  • Learning and Human Capital Development
  • Employee Retention and People Management
  • Talent Management, Retention and Succession Planning
  • Quality Work-Life, Physical and Mental Well-Being
For budding HR practitioners out there, here’s a tip from Ms Low Peck Kem on how to build a people-centred team:
“Know your business and be involved in the decision-making process, step up to the role of an advisor, apart from being an implementer, take accountability for business results, continuously learn, improve and share knowledge, and lastly be a change champion for the people.”
